It was a cold and rainy evening at Rutgers field as Sky Blue FC took on the visiting Portland Thorns. Ana-Maria Crnogorčević and Hayley Raso were able to capitalize on early defensive mistakes made by Sky Blue, putting the Thorns up 2-0 in the first half.
Imani Dorsey was able to respond with a goal soon after, but the Thorns were able to hold off Sky Blue’s late-game offensive efforts. The final result was a 2-1 win for the Portland Thorns.
