USWNT v. England

The United States opened the 2020 She Believes Cup with a resounding win over the English Women’s National Team.

Despite several good chances, both the USWNT and England struggled to convert in the first half of the match. The two teams headed into the locker rooms locked in a 0-0 draw.

Just eight minutes into the second half, Christen Press gave the U.S a one-goal lead thanks to a banger off of her right foot. In the 56th minute, Carli Lloyd doubled the lead, slipping the ball past the outstretched England goalkeeper, Carly Telford.
